Trip to Publix

On Sunday afternoon, I needed to run to Publix to pick up a few things. John was busy doing yard work so I thought I would just take Kyle with me. He goes shopping with me all the time, and I have rarely had any problems from him. Well this day was a different story. About the time I was getting ready to head to the checkout line, he starts getting fidgety. I thought "oh goodness I better make my way out of here". And of course there are no empty checkout lines so I had to wait behind other customers. Well he then begins to cry, well not a sweet little baby cry, but a wail of a scream. And he doesn't stop. I finally got the groceries on the checkout belt and was able to pick him up. Luckily, that soothed him and he was just fine. But not without everyone within ear shot (which was virtually the whole store because he was so loud) coming up to me to give me suggestions on how to handle the situation better next time. Once we are done checking out, I am holding him and can't push the buggy out to the car or put the groceries in the car. So the nice bag man took my groceries out to the car, and put the car seat back in the car for me. I guess I have learned my lesson for taking Kyle to grocery store without dad there to help out. When can I feel safe to take him out alone again?

Growing up with Kyle

So I am going to attempt to keep up with all the happenings as Kyle gets older, and hopefully document all the big, small, and memorable moments in his life. This will also be a great way to post pictures for all of our friends and family to see.
